Two years ago MBM opened an office in The Alba Innovation Centre in Livingston. The Innovation Centre is a business incubator supported by Scottish Enterprise and West Lothian Council and operated by Innovation Centres Scotland Ltd.

This year, in conjunction with Scottish Enterprise, the Alba Centre, West Lothian Council, and Springfords, MBM Commercial are sponsoring the Alba Innovation Challenge, a challenge to early stage technology businesses to persuade a panel of experts that they have a winning business idea. The winner will receive a year’s free accommodation at the Alba Centre, financial assistance from West Lothian Council, free Accountancy advice from Springfords, and free legal advice from MBM Commercial – the assistance they need to develop their business.

We are delighted to sponsor the challenge. The applicants and winner are exactly the type of high growth innovative business that we like to work with.

At the closing date for applications there were 23 applicants. We will announce the winner at the end of January and celebrate their success at a dinner on 24 February 2010.
