Cat MacLean

Cat MacLean is an Associate in the Litigation and Employment Groups at MBM Commercial. She holds an LLB (Hons) in English Law and French Law from the University of Leicester; a Diplome d’Etudes Juridiques Francaises from the Universite Robert Schumann in Strasbourg; and an LLB in Scots Law from the University of Edinburgh.
Cat trained at Simpson & Marwick and worked there after qualifying. In 1998 she joined the Scottish bar and practised as an Advocate for 10 years.
She is a Solicitor Advocate with extended Rights of Audience in the Court of Session, House of Lords and Privy Council, and regularly undertakes written and advocacy work in the Commercial Court at the Court of Session. She is also a member of the Society of Solicitor Advocates, and a member of the Scottish Human Rights Law Group, with particular interest in the commercial aspects of human rights law.
