Afaf Alubaidi

Afaf is a Senior Associate in the IP, Data and Contracts Team.
She is a New York State qualified attorney with over 10 years' experience and offers a wide range of experience - combined and strengthened by her background in disputes and litigations, through which she learned the do's and don'ts of the commercial world.

Her practice and experience is focused on drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and providing legal advisory on matters related to IP, Data Protection and sector specific risks and mitigations across various industries; including telecommunications, media & gaming, technology, IT and AI, life sciences, space, aviation, e-commerce, fintech & payment services, travel & tourism, events and many others.

She has advised and supported clients, including SMEs and major players in both the private and public sectors at a global level, on wide-ranging, complex and new-to-market matters within and beyond the above mentioned practice fields and industries.

Having gained her experience working for top-tier international law firms in addition to working in-house for clients at various sectors, she has garnered first-hand internal knowledge of the commercial/operational intricacies and an understanding of market standards involved in her practice sectors. Whilst Afaf channels this experience to advocate the best outcome for her clients and mitigate their risks, this is always balanced by a commercial minded approach and a recognition of her clients' exact needs.

Afaf puts great value in getting to know and understand her clients, as well as their counterparts, and is of the firm belief that while experience is important, it must always be lead by effective communication and emotional intelligence.

Personal Biography

Aside from her love for travel, Afaf enjoys singing and playing music, and she has also spent much of her last year falling in love with Scotland, its Highlands, and all that is Scottish.

On a completely unrelated note, Afaf recently relocated to Glasgow from Dubai to be with her Scottish partner, who also happens to be a professional musician.
