Articles of Association

On incorporation of a brand new company, founders will often adopt standard default Articles, known as the Model Articles. These are a good starting point for many companies, particularly if resources are limited in the early days. However, as the company progresses, it will likely outgrow the Model Articles and these should be upgraded to a new set of Articles with more bespoke and detailed provisions, appropriate to the company’s stage and shareholder base.
