Chris Scobie

Chris joined MBM in 2021 as a Trainee in the Edinburgh office. He spent his entire traineeship in the Employment Team and qualified as a solicitor into the Employment team in October 2023.

Chris is the main contact for the Holistic HR service and as a result has been able to advise on a wide range of employment issues since he joined the team including contract, handbooks, redundancies, discrimination, TUPE, settlement agreements and more.

Chris completed his Scots law degree and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh where he was elected as the eSports representative for the Edinburgh Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Prior to joining MBM, he worked within the cashroom team at Murray Beith Murray.

Personal Biography

When not behind his desk, Chris can usually either be found at a rock-climbing gym, hiking Munros, or mountain biking down hills.
