Matthew Boyle

Matthew joined us as a Trainee in September 2022. Matthew completed his traineeship in September 2024, and is now an Associate in the Corporate and Share Incentives teams, based in our Edinburgh office.

Matthew regularly assists in venture capital and angel investments into tech start-ups and university spin-outs. Matthew also helps founders cultivate strongly performing teams by assisting with share incentive schemes.

Matthew achieved First Class Honours in his dual Scots and English Law degree at the University of Strathclyde before completing the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow.

Having achieved a Distinction and the highest average grade in his year, on his course, during his LLB penultimate year, Matthew was nominated to represent the University of Strathclyde in the prestigious 2020 Neuberger Prize competition.

Alongside his studies, Matthew interned with a criminal defence firm and acted as an Adviser with both the University of Strathclyde Law Clinic and Citizens Advice Edinburgh.

Personal Biography

Matthew enjoys exploring Edinburgh on his bicycle, walking with friends and can often be seen wearing headphones blasting pop and R&B.
