Michelle Bush

Michelle is a Director in MBM’s Employment team where she leads the Holistic HR USA service, a fixed fee subscription service providing US employment law advice and support to clients navigating US expansion. With more than 15 years of experience as an employment lawyer acting primarily for employers, Michelle understands the importance to clients of commercial priorities and practical advice.

Michelle joined MBM in 2023 after relocating with her family to Scotland where, alongside her US work, she also advises Scottish and UK businesses on UK employment law matters and the complexities of managing cross border employment issues. Michelle’s practice includes advising on all aspects of the employment relationship, from hiring to managing to dismissing employees. Michelle also regularly works with our Corporate team advising on the employment aspects of business transactions.

Prior to joining MBM, Michelle worked in the US at a large regional law firm, where she represented small, mid, and large size companies, and as an in-house employment lawyer for a healthcare organization with approximately 20,000 employees. Michelle’s focus at MBM has been on start-ups and high growth companies with growing workforces, and Michelle is versatile in navigating the wide-ranging needs of employers of all sizes.
