Female Founders Series - Growing Fast: How to keep up when things take off

Join us for a morning of inspiration, insights, and networking at our exclusive event, ‘Growing Fast: How to keep up when things take off’.

Listen to insights from three dynamic speakers, each representing distinct stages in their entrepreneurial journey. Whether you’re at the inception of your business or basking in the glow of a successful exit, this event is tailor-made for you.

Our distinguished speakers will take you on a journey through three diverse stages of entrepreneurship and how they manage momentum in their business.

Starting Out: Jules Salmond, CienDos

Jules Salmond, a seasoned leader and co-founder/CEO of CienDos, is an execution guru with a legal background. Jules has successfully co-founded and scaled a global Third Party Risk RegTech, showcasing her ability to build high-performing teams and implement strategic goals. With a wealth of experience in consulting, financial services, and risk & compliance, she now spearheads CienDos, a start-up focused on illuminating and incentivizing real carbon emissions reduction across corporate networks globally.

Scaling Up: Elaine Van Der Berg, Pufferfish

“Pufferfish is one of Edinburgh’s longest-running start-ups and one of its best-kept secrets,” says CEO Elaine Van Der Berg. But the company is now scaling up, backed by Par Equity and other investors; the firm has become a leader in digital displays and saw 60% growth in the last year. Elaine will talk about the success and challenges the firm has faced as they reach the next growth phase.

Successful Exit: Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne, Genius Foods

Founded in 2009 by Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne after her son was diagnosed with coeliac disease, Genius Foods has grown to become the number-one gluten-free brand in the UK. The business was acquired by Katjes Greenfood in 2022. Lucinda will share her insights into managing the rapid expansion of the business as the “free from” market took off.
