The Corporate Team at MBM Commercial are delighted to have worked with Rhizocore Technologies on its recent £3.5 million fundraise.

Founded in 2021 by CEO Toby Parkes and Chief Mycologist David Satori, the company has developed a first-of-its-kind fungal pellet, which acts as a vital underground nutrient exchange between trees and fungi known as the Wood-Wide Web. Rhizocore’s unique approach to restoring underground fungal networks offers a new and sustainable solution to accelerating woodland regeneration, improving forest productivity and increasing the potential for carbon capture.

The investment will help to spur Rhizocore’s ambitious plans to scale its operations over the next two and half years, with the aim of planting up to 5 million trees with accompanying fungal pellets in 2025 alone.

The fundraise was met with resounding success, attracting a diverse pool of investors from across the globe, including ReGen Ventures, Collaborative Fund and Grok Ventures. The impressive £3.5 million investment not only showcases the remarkable potential of Rhizocore Technologies groundbreaking fungal pellets, but also the growing interest in companies whose products are having a positive impact on the planet.
